THE GENOESER
My cover illustration for The Genoeser, an imaginary magazine and a collective artistic project that aims to portray the city of Genoa through the illustrations of many Italian artists, while also paying tribute to The New Yorker. You can buy this print here.
"This illustration imagines an extreme future for Genoa, submerged beneath rising sea levels. In this surreal and visionary scenario, the city is overrun by a colony of enormous sea creatures, a symbol of invasive species thriving in warmer waters. It’s a provocative depiction that brings attention to two urgent environmental issues: the climate crisis and the disruption of biodiversity, reframing them in a visual narrative that is haunting rather than harmless."
